A Day on the Farm

Remember our little chicken Firefly?

Here is a picture from the last time you saw him

And here's what he looks like now...definitely a little-rooster!

We also got a new flock of  pekin ducks!

Reuben has been enjoying our nice warm weather!

Munch, munch, crunch....MOOO!

Look at that adorable face..he has the most magnificent eyelashes!

And Abby too!

I also brought home ten french black copper Marans chicklets (pronounced maren, the "s" is silent).

They will grow into gorgeous hens and roosters and lay GORGEOUS dark brown eggs. And when I say dark brown...I mean the color of chocolate.

Plus they have feathered feet, which is just adorable!

Speaking of eggs, here's one of my Henleys, who keep us well-stocked with delicious fresh eggs.

I'm learning that Spring is an exciting time on the farm! Exciting and super busy. We have been trying to take full advantage of the beautiful weather and sunshine, getting outside as much as possible.
