The plumbing inspector passed the plumbing check on the guesthouse and gave the go-ahead to continue work.
This is a REALLY big deal, since Cory has been working his tail off trying to get everything connected and ready to go.
The guesthouse had virtually no workable plumbing in it previously, so Cory had to design and build the entire system himself. I'm certainly no guru when it comes to the technical aspects of building a house (but you can ask me about social theories if you want :) ), however I do know that he had to install a submersed/below ground well pump so that we could get rid of this lovely piece of architecture:
Edit: Cory has read this and kindly informed me that it is NOT a below ground well pump....he in fact installed a "pitless adapter". No, I do not know what that means.
Now our yard is OPEN, and when people come over there won't be any perplexed looks and questions about why there is a square shack in the middle of our yard....they will probably still be perplexed about the cow/goat/chickens wandering around, but that's ok.
Look! You can even see my chicken coop (which Cory built for me - Thank you!)
That red, scorpion-like thing is Cory's
Now that the plumbing is complete, the next step is to finish the electrical work....but not before we got to take a weekend trip to the Minnesota North Shore!
Coming next!..
It's OK to not know the technical aspects or terms. It is enough to enjoy the results! Looks so much better.
