It is always great to hear about others who share similar passions to ours. As I was driving to work Monday morning, listening to the radio, the host began talking about a young man who was about to take an amazing journey. Nathan Melhoff, who is my age, was getting ready to begin a backpacking trip - from Minnesota to California.
I won't lie, listening to his story sparked a lot of jealousy and a little anger that I was so tied down to student loans and a job, but mostly I just felt the need to give him some encouragement. Walking is hard. It takes a mountain of perseverance.
No, I have never met Nathan...though he has invited anyone to walk with him...but I want to share this with you all because it is so darn cool and inspiring. He has a great blog that allows you to follow the whole journey.
