Yesterday morning was no different. Of course my newsfeed was crawling with reports of power outages, fallen trees and hail damage. Huh. So, I decided to venture outside to see what all the fuss was about.
As I opened the front door, I surveyed my surroundings. To the left, just a few small branches scattered around the yard, and about the same in front of me. To the right...
WOW
"Corrrryyyy! You should probably come seeeee this!"
That would be a tree...
Almost split in half and twisted around.
Luckily only a small part fell on my garden. Oh precious potatoes!
(Don't worry everything was ok.)
The wind even managed to twist the top off my bird feeder.
There were many people who were much less fortunate than we were. I have heard reports of trees falling on cars and houses, roofs being torn off and hail shredding gardens. The entire town of Foley (one town over from where we live) will be without power until Monday.
We are expecting another, milder, storm tonight. So fasten your seat belts folks.
That was a strong storm! The damage it left speaks for itself. After this, many will be up on their roofs, either going for repairs or installing a new one. I hope that many will pick quality roof materials that can withstand such weather conditions. Investing on a quality roof is the best way to be assured of protection come what may.
ReplyDeleteThat’s quite a damage. But good thing the tree didn’t fall down on your roof just like what happened to the others. Also, no one got badly hurt - what a relief, wasn't it? I hope right after the storm, every damage have been repaired and so all of you can come back to your normal routine.
